AN EXERCISE IN SELF REFLECTION

March 2, 2021

Have you ever seen a wild animal see itself in a mirror? You can HERE. They are curious, confused, aggressive; but not judgemental.

Have you ever caught your dog wondering why it’s not a duck? Of course not.

Have you ever seen a baby wish it was cuter? What a weird thought.

Yet a moment arrives in the human experience when looking in a mirror breeds judgement. We wonder why we aren’t something else. Maybe we wish we cuter.

This is the awakening of self reflection. We can use that.

What are you using yours for?

Exercise: If you want to grow in your ability to self reflect in helpful ways spend 3 minutes looking in the mirror without criticizing or judging yourself. Then try 5 minutes.

Pro status? Do it naked.
